The CELPIP Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program is a general test that assesses language skills in English.

CELPIP allows candidates to demonstrate their knowledge of English. The CELPIP test accurately assesses a candidate's English language skills in everyday situations, including communicating with colleagues and superiors in a professional context, interacting with friends, understanding newsletters, producing responses to written documents, understand editorial texts.
Which CELPIP to choose?
If you must present a CSQ file
you must pass the CELPIP - General

If you need to submit a permanent resident file to IRCC
you must pass the CELPIP - General
4 events. Duration 3H
If you want to obtain Canadian citizenship and opt for English
you must take the CELPIP LS
Duration 1 hour 15 minutes
To validate your knowledge
in English with a professional body or collegeyou must pass the CELPIP - General
4 events. Duration 3H
How does CELPIP work?
All the tests are done on the computer
The 4 or 2 tests depending on the objective of the test take place on the same day
Description of the tests:
- Listening comprehension 47-55 minutes
- Reading comprehension 55 - 60 minutes
- Written expression 53-60 minutes
- Oral expression 15 - 20 minutes
