French Knowledge Test
The TEF is a language exam used to assess the level of comprehension and expression of people whose mother tongue is not French. This test is used for immigration to Quebec and is the only one accepted for the federal skilled worker program, in which case the 4 tests are mandatory. In addition, the TEF comprising the two oral tests (comprehension and expression) is required to obtain Canadian citizenship.
